Mt Somers and Mt Hutt with Rangitata terraces
This was painted from the Acland's, Peel Forest Station looking north east towards Mt Somers and Mt Hutt. Mt Hutt has one of the ski fields close to Christchurch and is often one of the first to open each season.
The terraces in the midground were formed by the Rangitata River over the years.
