Towards the Whitcombe Pass, Rakaia
High in the Rakaia Valley amongst the celmisias and snow grass we came upon these lichen covered rocks which make a great foreground for this work. They were topped with an Astelia and made a good lead into the headwaters of the valley. The gathering clouds made for interesting light.
