CONFLUENCE OF THE POULTER & WAIMAKARIRI RIVERS

This one is looking down the Waimakariri to where the Esk river joins it and the Poulter comes in on the left foreground. The Puketeraki Range had early morning fog lifting as I painted. Voices below me were folks canoeing, in training for the great transalpine traverse, the coast to coast race.
