McClure Peak and the Havelock Valley

I painted this one on my knees in the gravel of the Rangitata River and a howling Nor West wind screaming in my face. McClure peak at 2497m is centre left and just out of sight by the two pine trees is the Alma Hutt belonging to Mesopotamia Station.
