This is a series of 15 drawings in oil paint on paper inspired by my daughter Finya at 17 months.
In the drawings I have tried to capture the universal gestures and postures that could portray any child at this age.
Striving for simplicity, I have used monochrome, with a layer or scumbled, somewhat grubby background.
This collection, called Continuum, was shown in Dunedin at the Moray Gallery in 2001.
SHADOWS is a collection of paintings from a trip through Europe in the summer of 2000. Some of the paintings appear on the European paintings 2000 page on this site, and some are new and not shown.
This collection was shown at the Bealey in Christchurch in May 2001.
