AMURI BASIN FROM KAIWARA ROAD

At Gordons suggestion I drove through the Kaiwara road from the Cheviot side and painted this one, there was a cold wind.

They had 10" of rain in 20 hours and so the road was more like a river bed in parts. The Waiau river is flowing out of the right middle of the painting. The Tekoa Range and the Organ Range disapearing in the clouds.
