Mt Peel & Kahikateas

These Kahikatea trees are growing in the paddock next door to our house and make a good subject on different days in changing conditions.

It was boxes from the wood of Kahikatea trees that New Zealand butter was exported to the U.K. in times bygone. I like them much better standing there than ending up as ash in the grate of some English fireplace!
