Mt Walker from Fairlie

Mt Walker in the afternoon sun after the big snow that hit on July 12 July 2006. being one of the most severe storms in Canterbury in the past 50 years.

It disrupted power supplies, closed schools and businesses,endangered stock,and blocked roads.

As is usual the following days were calm and clear.
